Obamacare Is Ridiculously EXPENSIVE For What We Get

Temporarily ensconced in this proverbial "land of milk and honey" we are a rich prosperous nation.  Able-bodied welfare recipients, illegal aliens, government workers, and politicians active and retired are all enjoying "the good life" while you and I my friend are providing tax money as the grist for the mill, fat, happy and oblivious to reality. My advise ia - don't be a SHEEPLE - rediscover scepticism. It served our ancestors well. Take the time to READ different sources so you, too, can peel back the onion. Robber barons monopolized markets so that they could pay as little as possible for America's crop production like COTTON. A few RATIONALIZED and told themselves,"THE SOUTH HAS SLAVES of various colors, many are BLACK, producing COTTON, many are DIRT POOR WHITE FARMERS who grow all manner of crops which WE buy at DIRT CHEAP PRICES, such as COTTON. Many of these farmers grew cotton which was picked by family members since their "social security" was based on their children taking care of them IF they lived long.
AFTER the Civil War, when "slaves" were "free", there was much disarray, devestation, poverty, disease, crime, and other factors that contributed to the "misery index".

Many were and still are ranchers of various colors who SEEM TO UNDER PAY cowboys of various colors, taking advantage of them because they have NO UNIONS because A) They were born too "early" i.e. between 1790 and about 1890. Many were so poor that they had no idea there was a depression and "Wall Street fell".

The "mass media" has even MADE A BIG "POINT" that "farmers earn $10,000 to $12,000 per YEAR" which has perhaps contributed to "how ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm?"

How many small farm inheriters LOST THEIR OWN children to "run away to the city-ism- you will die broke on the farm" propaganda - which caused them to be A) over-worked B) under paid from lowered production C) lonesome for their children who did not want to inherit the farm or ranch because of the "propaganda" and quite possibly BANKRUPT due to LOW PRICED IMPORTED FOOD, COTTON,etc hammered further by inflated wages and wage-expectations of those who COULD help them SAVE THE PROPERTY. Enter Willie Nelson and "Farm-Aid".
Presently, many small farmers and ranchers rely on A) housing B) feeding and C) having young, healthy employees to HELP THEM whether family members or HIRED HELP much the same as from 1791 to 1890.

During FD Roosevelt and the Democrats' "ruling the roost" time, government grew "like a jungle" full of "alphabet departments" each with a life of its own, each wanting a bigger budget and more employees every year.

Americans, don't look now - but we've lost control of our health. Like Neo in "The Matrix", we've been totally unaware how cheapened and commoditized our lives have become. We work like robots, vacation like scrooge, and continue to create opportunities for businesses to rule our lives.

even Nixon KNEW the USA could NOT AFFORD IT!

That in mind he said:

also urge the Congress to take further steps to improve Medicare. For one thing, beneficiaries should be allowed to use the program to join Health Maintenance Organizations. In addition, we should consolidate the financing of Part A of Medicare-which pays for hospital care--and Part B--which pays for outpatient services, provided the elderly person himself pays a monthly fee to qualify for this protection. I propose that this charge--which is scheduled to rise to $5.60 per month in July of this year be paid for instead by increasing the Social Security wage base. Removing this admission cost will save our older citizens some $1.3 billion annually and will give them greater access to preventive and ambulatory services.

WHY Is A NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE PARTNERSHIP BETTER THAN NATIONALIZED HEALTH INSURANCE?

I believe that our government and our people, business and labor, the insurance industry and the health profession can work together in a national partnership to achieve our health objectives. I do not believe that the achievement of these objectives requires the nationalization of our health insurance industry.

To begin with, there simply is no need to eliminate an entire segment of our private economy and at the same time add a multi-billion dollar responsibility to the Federal budget. Such a step should not be taken unless all other steps have failed.

"It is health which is real wealth," said Gandhi, "and not pieces of gold and silver." That statement applies not only to the lives of men but also to the life of nations. And nations, like men, are judged in the end by the things they hold most valuable.

Not only is health more important than economic wealth, it is also its foundation. It has been estimated, for example, that ten percent of our country's economic growth in the past half century has come because a declining death rate has produced an expanded labor force.

Our entire society, then, has a direct stake in the health of every member. In carrying out its responsibilities in this field, a nation serves its own best interests, even as it demonstrates the breadth of its spirit and the depth of its compassion.

Yet we cannot truly carry out these responsibilities unless the ultimate focus of our concern is the personal health of the individual human being. We dare not get so caught up in our systems and our strategies that we lose sight of his needs or compromise his interests. We can build an effective National Health Strategy only if we remember the central truth that the only way to serve our people well is to better serve each person.

Nineteen months ago I said that America's medical system faced a "massive crisis." Since that statement was made, that crisis has deepened. All of us must now join together in a common effort to meet this crisis--each doing his own part to mobilize more effectively the enormous potential of our health care system.
